What is IVC Home composition?
Formed of layers, IVC Home is a special type of vinyl flooring, known as heterogeneous vinyl and this gives it several advantages:
- Enhanced protection with a protective PU lacquer
- Lasting wear layer
- Impressive high-quality designs
- Dimensional stability with glass fiber layer
- PVC backing of different types for tunable performance
- Additional warmth and comfort with felt-lined softback
By adjusting the thickness of wear layer and the thickness and density of the PVC backing, IVC Home flooring is tuned to perform certain duties better.
IVC Home floors with Foamed PVC backing has been specially developed to provide your home with great underfoot comfort and thermal insulation.
Compact PVC and Super-compact PVC backing has been developed for use in demanding locations and gives your IVC Home floor increased recovery from furniture indents.
Textile backing provides excellent thermal comfort and reduces the impact noise.
Is IVC Home easy to look after?
Briefly, yes.
Many floors within IVC Home range feature a special protective PU lacquer. It forms a lasting coating on the surface of the floor that makes it really easy to wipe away spills without leaving permanent stains. Even stubborn scuffs and marks from things like shoes or buggies can be removed with water and a diluted cleaning solution.
Regular maintenance including the removal of dirt and debris is advisable to keep your IVC Home floor in perfect condition.
Rubber and latex mats / furniture protection should be avoided as these may leave permanent stains on your IVC Home floor.
Can I use IVC Home with Underfloor Heating?
IVC Home vinyl is safe for use with traditional underfloor heating, provided you do not exceed the temperature of max 27°C.
Remember, you should always follow the manufacturer's instructions when it comes to operating your underfloor heating system for the first time, giving your floor time to adjust to increased heat over a few days.
